Baby Jess Hats (1)

Here are some pics of me wearing hats during the first year I was born. OK, admittedly the last one is from my first birthday, but whatevs. That counts. The first two are from the day my parents took me to a Renaissance Faire. I don’t know if the “e” on Fair is necessary there, but I wanted to add it to be OLD TIMEY and junk.

Halloween 2011

I’ll take some better pics of this costume later, but let’s just say it was a fun night :)

No, I don’t know that guy. These pictures were taken by my husband (unfortunately, even though I plugged it in to charge for like four hours before I left, my phone mysteriously ran out of battery while I was at the bar and so I couldn’t take any of my own pictures), who went dressed as Waldo:

Changes

If you read (I’m using a very loose definition of the word “read” here) the blog on a regular basis you might have noticed that I haven’t updated in a couple of weeks. Maybe it’s been three or four, I’m not sure. Anyway, the reason for this is that I went on a family vacation (I bought four new hats on this vacation, too!) pretty much right after I changed the layout of the blog, and as soon as I got back from vacation I had to move. I had planned on updating the blog layout again (I just don’t like how it turned out) when I got back from vacation, but with moving that’s been pushed back.

SO, I just wanted to let anyone who is still “reading” the blog know that…the new house is very nearly organized to the point that I can set up my photography studio again, and once I can do that I’ll be working on the new graphics for the new new layout. Once I have the graphics, I can implement the new theme, and then get back to business as usual.

By the end of this week the house will be done and the photography studio set back up. Starting next week I’ll be doing the new pics, and then working on the theme. Some of the pictures for the new theme will also be included in the next post.

One more thing I feel I should mention…this next update is the first time ever that I’ll be including a prop, rather than just posing in different…poses. Yeah.

Also, if you have any ideas for good themed posts that use props (or don’t, whatevs) I’d love to hear them! Send me an email and I’ll see what I can do :)
